Using your community to help you complete your award

In addition to your school, both your local synagogue and youth group(s) can prove extremely useful in helping to complete the different sections of your award. (Volunteering, Skills, Physical and Expedition - Gold participants must also complete a Residential Section).

Alongside your school, your other chosen partner organisations will be given access to help manage your progress and see your achievements. You can manage and add to these relationships by logging in to your evolve account.

The best way we have found to support participant to complete their award is through the encouragement of their parents.

Many parents take a keen interest in helping their child to find placements for the Volunteering section and helping them to record their hours for completion of their award. As part of our evolve system we have created parent profiles where you can manage the DofE and other Awards along with any siblings in one easy to use family profile. Parents will also receive copies of all DofE information emails sent to participants so that they can support them on their journey.

It is important that we accurately have your email address as this will be used to send important information about training and expeditions.
